AI can it be useful?

So, I experimented with AI this weekend. Both Bing and Chat Gpt. I took my prologue and part of the first chapter of the novel that I am working on, put it in the chat box, and asked for thoughts on my writing style. The results were interesting.

They both broke it down to the use of visual wording, setting of the scene, character development, dialog, and overall flow. But where they differed was the level of detail.

Chat Gpt was vague and gave general constructive feedback. This is useful for someone who wants to polish their writing before it's sent to Agents or Publishers for consideration.

Bing was very detailed, cited specific details, and offered suggestions on improving certain sentences and scenes. It also offered advice on how to improve engagement. I felt this was useful for those like me who choose to polish their manuscripts and self-publish.

These are my thoughts. Have any of you used these to check your work? What did you like or dislike about it?
